Vista Temple Buddhist Community Gathering 2022

I joined a panel of Asian American women Buddhist teachers for the Vista Buddhist Temple’s annual community gathering to address how our community of AA+PI Buddhists can find resources from Buddhism to care for ourselves amidst the growing tide of anti-Asian violence. It was such an honor to speak alongside Mushim Patricia Ikeda, Reverend Candice Shibata, and Vista Temple leaders. I chose to speak about the Japanese Zen concept of 不動心 (Fudoshin—Immovable Mind) and how it can provide the spiritual strength to find perseverance and even joy in life under any circumstances.
